Creative Challenge

I am so thankful for a wonderful teacher, Shelagh Folgate.  Her blogspot is above and our yahoo group is linked at the bottom.  I am at the crossroads of my life.  Grandbabies coming out fast (3), my Consignment Shop that I owned for 7 years hit bottom, Hubby is ready to retire or maybe not, a home I wanted all my life slipped through my fingers and was purchased by someone else before we could sell ours. But then Shelagh came along and gave me a purpose using my creative side of my brain and I could see a new direction in my life.  You may be asking yourself, what is all that stuff in the pictures.  HA-I don't know, but by the end of the week I will.  Stay tuned and find out.   http://groups.yahoo.com/group/CREATIVECHALLENGERS2010/
This has been the most fun I have had! Shelagh Folgate, a fabulous teacher from the UK.  and to think all this was free.  I learned to granite stitch, using unusual (to me) fabrics, organza, metallic threads, skeleton leaves, paper, ribbon, multi color threads and re-awoken my imagination.

Spring fun Jewelry

Sewing Charm Bracelet (French General)

MySpring Bracelet Designs

Arizonia Rock Bracelet with earrings.

I took to making jewelry today,  I finished a metal vintage button sewing charm braclet that I pictured in my layout pic.  It was fun and I purchased some of the findings from www. frenchgeneral.com.  Then I dug into my bead box and took out some other braclets that I finished in the past, a lime green pink Spring braclet and an Arizonia rock bracelet with earrings.  .  I am not a very good picture taker, I need to improve so the detail of the beads so up.  I was watching a video on http://www.dailycreative.com/ on making fabric beads so I will work on creating those next, I have so much fabric.  Check back to see them.

Winter Hibernation

Hibernation

WINTER LEAVES - FROSTED

I love winter, really!.  Especially this year.  I have been able to stay at home, snug as a bug, these last two months.  And I feel blessed.  A foot of snow outside, juncos, house wrens, finches, woodpeckers, squirrels and deer out side in my backyard.  BUT: After shutting down my consignment shop, I have felt lost -  like a young friend dying early or a parachute not opening or the crown falling off your head.  My days feel meaningless, there is no objective or goal to accomplish, no reason to get out of bed, no benefit of life.  I breathe, I sleep, I eat and I call my Mom.  I write in my journal, I have learned to knit, I go to my Bernina Sewing Classes, twice a week, I hand quilt because my sewing machine was in the shop (I messed up the tension), I check my e-mail and facebook and then I get back into bed.  My warm comfortable bed.  Thank God for my bed.  NO, I am not depressed, I am just hibernating  like a bear.  Waiting for Spring, Waiting for the sunshine,  waiting for my dreams to appear, waiting for my dreams to come true.  "If you see my reflection in the snow covered hills, well maybe----- well maybe---    "Dreams" by Fleetwood Mac.  What am I saying-I'm in shut down mode-in my cave-in the dark-well maybe!

I gotta talk.

Someone died this week.  Bryan Murphy.   I still think about him still, after all these years.  at least 10 years.  I don't know where I meet him  but I know when I did, I loved him instintly.  His eyes, his body, his dick, his way of letting you know that you were loved, his way of letting you know that he would take you beyond your dreams , his way of making your dreams come true, his way of making your sexual fantacy's come alive and be everything that that you want themto be.

This a new list/

Help me, I don't know if dreams to come true, can to make them come true or make them happen.  I gotta go

Time for Change

Time is moving along, January 2010 is almost gone and Feb is coming.  I have finished shutting down consignment shop Just For You Too and helped a new shop open up.   http://www.mystuffnmore.com/

I feel so much freedom, and load lifted off my shoulders, calming sensation and lots of creativity activity.  Sewing, Quilting, Applique, dying fabric, drawing, listening to my heart beat.  I am missing a work routine, but I need to sit still, go with the flow of my life and listen to the future.

I am so excited daily with my brain waves.  My mind is full of ideas, want to do's, and watching my 3 grandbabies learn something new each day and see the delight in their eyes.  Adeline (5 months) has two teeth that just came through and her tongue is just wigglying in her mouth feeling this new sensation and biting grandma's finger.  Emma (3yrs) wants her outside time, winter stay in has been taking a toll on her and she wants a playground.  Let's move, Let's walk, she says.  Aiden (7 weeks) can get enough sensual sensation.  Colors, Movements, Smells, Touch, Faces, Sounds.  (What's that, Where did that sound come from, "I can turn my head".)   Become a child again and experience life again!

NEW ME

New Year, New Me! 2010, No "Just For You, Too Consignment Shop" Shut down due to economy, construction out front of shop to go on another year, owner burnout, expenses>profit, and most important, shoppers are so rude. (arguementive, cheap, selfish, crabby, unhappy) I know things are bad, I know people have no jobs, less money, higher expenses, so do I as a shop owner, trying to put a husband, 2 kids to work and keep a family together to get through this together. And we will get through this, but not working for shoppers who think it is all about them. And yes, customer know best, but you don't have to take daily rudeness.
I am moving on and so are my husband, who is out of work and shoveling snow, my son who works only 2 days a week now, my daughter who is a mecanical engineer had a son and choosing to stay at home and raise him instead of a daycare provider. ME????? I don't know, I can't get unemployement, I didn't pay into unemployment because I never made any money to pay into it, I paid everyone else. I learned alot and I am glad I did it. I made my dream come true, but my dream just didn't turn out like I thought it would. So goes life.
